HERITAGE DAYS SUNDAY

Join us on September 19 and 20 for the European Heritage Days in Collioure.
Two days dedicated to art and culture to explore the historical, military, and artistic heritage of the village.
Exceptional openings, guided walks, free or reduced-price visits… Collioure will be alive with discoveries all weekend.

Sunday, September 20:

►Anchovy salting workshops, duration 20 min, route d'argelès
Maison Desclaux: 9am to 12:30pm / 2pm to 7pm
Demonstrations of salting. No reservation required.

►Guided tour of heritage viewpoints: the bell tower, 10am, departure from 5 rue de la fraternité
Discover the installation Points 2 Vue by Marc-André 2 Figueres, frame sculptures playing with perception based on the angle of view. Limited to 12 people.

►Machado Circuit, 10am, departure from the station, duration 1h15
A tour of the last days of Antonio Machado, followed by the film La retirada à Collioure, 1939. Limited to 25 people.

►Visit to the bell tower, 10am to 12pm then 2pm to 5pm, place de l'église
Discover the bell tower with your feet in the water. Groups of 7 people every 30 minutes, limited to 60 people.

►Guided tours of Collioure, departure from the Fauvism Showcase, 10:30am, place du 18 juin

• Fauvism Trail: follow in the footsteps of Matisse and Derain, relive the summer of 1905 and the birth of Fauvism in Collioure.

►All day: Photo rally, departure from the Fauvism Showcase, Place du 18 juin
Explore the city as a team in search of new viewpoints. A fun way to glimpse the evolution of Collioure from yesterday to today.

►Visit to the Cortina mill, 10am to 5pm, duration 30 min
First Catalan windmill, now producing olive oil. No reservation required.

►Fort Dugommier, 1pm to 6pm
Free visit of the monument under rehabilitation and discovery of stone carving. Free entry (on foot via the forts walk, or by car via Port-Vendres). Free entry.

►Royal Castle, 10am to 6pm, Quai de l'Amirauté
Built in the early Middle Ages to protect the village of Collioure and its natural harbor, the castle first housed its feudal lords before the Catalan kings made it a stop on their journeys.
-> From 10:30am to 4:30pm: Free visit of the medieval castle and its history. Free entry (last departure 4:30pm)
-> From 10:30am: Thematic guided tours (last departure at 4:30pm)
-> From 10:30am-12:30pm and 2:00pm-5:00pm in the lower hall: Photo-collage workshop "Royal Image" by Julie Albarel / Lower hall
Reimagine Collioure as a collective work: participatory creation of a panoramic image of the site. Open to all.

►Catalan boat ride, 10am to 12pm then 2pm to 5pm, port of Collioure
Stroll in the bay with Rigo Rigo and Ufana. Departures every 15 minutes, no reservation required.

Discover during these 2 days a place usually closed to the public to immerse yourself in the military heritage of Collioure through the guided visit of this site, with many interesting anecdotes it can tell you.

To prepare for the visit (mandatory):

• Reservation required

• ID card or passport required (if you do not have it, the visit may be refused).

• Visitor entry: in front of the entrance of the fort (42 Rue de la Caranque, 66190 Collioure).

• When reserving, you will be asked for the name and first name of all participants

• Arrive at the entrance of Fort Miradou 15 minutes before the start of the visit (beyond 10 minutes of delay, entry will be refused).
