VISITS TO THE CASTLE OF LIGHTS

Visible for miles around, the Château de Castries dominates the Languedoc plain and has watched over the village for over four centuries. The golden and luminous stone of the Château de Castries asserts its silhouette at the heart of the landscape. From its terraces, the view embraces the surrounding hills and villages. But from the outside, nothing hints at the gardens, fountains, and perspectives hidden behind its walls. Once the gate is crossed and the courtyard reached, the visitor enters another universe.

The architecture imposes itself, the volumes reveal themselves... and yet, nothing still hints at what awaits behind the castle's doors. Inside begins the journey of the Castle of Lights. The rooms and salons host a series of luminous works imagined for everyone: young and old dreamers alike. The installations engage in dialogue with the architecture, reveal the volumes, and transform the spaces into landscapes of light, bringing frescoes to life and making paintings speak.

The visitor also discovers the history of the castle through digital devices, stories, models, and explanatory panels that allow for a poetic and playful revival of the life of the Castries family in the 19th century, while also opening up to contemporary artistic creation.

From September 19 to December 31: Visits to the Castle of Lights.
Every weekend from 2 PM to 7 PM (last admission at 6 PM).
And every day (except Monday) during school holidays from 2 PM to 7 PM (last admission at 6 PM).

Adult ticket: €14.50 / Reduced rate (Students, job seekers, holders of a disability card, companions of people with disabilities): €12.50 / Youth rate (11–17 years): €10.50 / Child rate (4–10 years): €7.00 / Under 4 years: Free

Family package (2 adults + 2 children up to 10 years): €36.00 / Tribe of 10 people (regardless of age): €120.00 / Group of 20 or more: 10% discount on the total.
