Add anto.info to your preferred sourcesBorn on September 2, 1987, in Rio de Janeiro, Frederico Heliodoro spent his youth in Belo Horizonte, where he became an artist. After a few years in São Paulo, Heliodoro returned to Rio, where he currently resides. Heliodoro participated in Milton Nascimento's tour "A Última Sessão de Música" and has worked with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Pedro Martins, Louis Cole, Shin Sasakubo, Bala Desejo, and Roberto Gatto as a bassist and/or guest artist. A multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer, Heliodoro began his career in 1999 in Belo Horizonte. He has been recognized twice by BDMG Cultural – "Young Instrumentalist 2007" / "BDMG Instrumental 2009". He released his first album in 2011 and currently has nine original projects in his catalog, as well as notable productions for the local music scene in southeastern Brazil, including Mahmundi, Gabriel Bruce, Affonsinho, and Paulo Nazareth. He holds a degree in Music from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He creates, performs, and teaches music. He conducts extensive research on improvisation and its melodic accents. He has taught in Japan, Italy, Uruguay, the United States, and Portugal.
