WILD ZERO WASTE HIKE

On Saturday, September 19, the City of Banyuls-sur-Mer and the Banyuls Rando club are hosting the 2nd Wild Zero Waste Coastal Hike, part of the participatory science initiative "Adopt’1 Spot / Wild Zero Waste" by MerTerre.

During a hike open to all along the coastal path between Sana beach and Tancada cove, abandoned waste will be collected before being integrated into a national ecological monitoring tool.

The reward for this friendly morning is a preserved environment and valuable data to take action at the source against litter that ends up on our shores.

To participate, meet:

• In front of the town hall at 8 AM to join one of the hikes (multiple groups) to collect abandoned or washed-up waste along the Coastal path or on the coves.

• Behind the town hall (Salle J. Jaurès) at 11 AM to participate in the sorting and counting of the collected waste. The counting will be followed by a friendly aperitif open to all participants.

• On social media to share the event: if you can’t participate yourself, perhaps one of your friends can!

Hike accessible to all levels (multiple groups) and open to all, supervised by the Banyuls Rando club.
