In the southeast of Sulawesi, Indonesia, Evrart Vedenbaum returns to the Sombori archipelago, threatened by nickel mining. Together with researchers and locals, he embarks on a mission to have this unique territory recognized and protected. Studies reveal remarkable biodiversity, but also increasing pollution related to mining activities.

As part of its partnership with the international adventure travel film festival: "What a trip," the CinéRando team, led by the French Hiking Federation of Hérault in collaboration with the Hérault Department, invites the festival winner from the event held from June 25 to June 28, 2026, in Montpellier for this session on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

In the presence of the director, this exceptional session will embody the driving force of the "What a trip" Festival: to promote a better understanding of the world through the practice and culture of travel.
