Discovering the fauna and flora through nature workshops with Laëtitia Leclercq "the little seeds on the go" for children aged 6 to 12.

Monday, July 13 > Who are these little creatures that sting us?!
Every summer it’s the same story! The little critters are out since spring has arrived, and watch out for the stings!
From the itchy mosquito bite to the scream-inducing wasp sting, not to mention the sting left by the bee…
We will explore the question and try to understand why and when insects sting us.
In a second part, we will see how to try to keep these little creatures away and soothe their stings, and we will make our little homemade ‘remedy’!

Monday, July 20 > The treasures of Mediterranean flora
What grows in our French departments bordering the Mediterranean Sea? What flowers, what plants, what trees?
And what is garrigue and maquis? And how do we preserve these precious natural environments?
During this workshop, we will reflect on all these questions, and we will focus on Mediterranean aromatic herbs, with observations, touch, and olfactory discoveries…
In a second part, we will make small scented fabric sachets with Mediterranean scents.

Monday, July 27 > Trees, these Giants!
They are part of our landscapes and we know they are essential… But what is, in fact, the life of a tree?
What makes it grow, thrive, and live through the seasons? And how is it also indispensable to humans and biodiversity?
We will attempt to explore these questions to understand how important and essential trees are to our planet and its ecosystems.
Then, we will play a little guessing game in the park: which tree for which inhabitant?
Finally, we will create beautiful pieces by painting or decorating branches, or by making beautiful ‘trees of life’ using twigs.
