ROUSSILLON TROUBADOURS

"Roussillon Troubadours - A Bridge Between Catalans and Occitans" is at the heart of the Bélesta Prehistoric Museum-Castle.

This beautiful exhibition awaits you from April until the end of December 2026.

It will take you into the world of the Roussillon troubadours who sang in Occitan, telling legends or tales of love between knights and beautiful ladies. Objects, parchments, castles, and archaeological sites evoke this era that remains vivid in our contemporary imagination.

The Roussillon painter Antoine Noetinger illustrates the exhibition with works inspired by the medieval iconography of the exhibition, following his usual theme of choice: the knights of Catalan medieval times and their troubadours.
