The oldest medical faculty founded on a legal charter opens its doors to you... Meet Rabelais, Nostradamus, François Gigot, Lapeyronie, and Glafira Ziegelemann, one of the very first students of the faculty.
Learn more about the doctoral defense and its traditions, in front of the bust of Hippocrates. A visit through the prestigious rooms to grasp the history of Montpellier medicine and the life of the faculty from yesterday to today. The visit includes access to the courtyard of the former convent, the Council Chamber and/or the Hall of Acts, and the Delmas Orfila Rouvière room.
The anatomy conservatory is closed for renovations and the Tekné Makré anatomy rooms are not included in the visit.
The visit is not accessible to people with reduced mobility, children under 12, pregnant women, and individuals allergic to formaldehyde. Access to the Hall of Acts or the Council Chamber is subject to availability.
