Synopsis
Following the traces left by multinationals on their supply chains, the film reveals the shockwave of a system that dispossesses and undermines entire communities. It gives voice to the indigenous Bunong people of Cambodia, the Bagyeli communities of Cameroon, and many rural families trapped in a global extractive system.
The first documentary to connect, in a single narrative, the issues of duty of vigilance (more relevant than ever on the European stage today), indigenous resistances, and the global consequences of land grabbing on our relationship with the living, Land Pillagers uncovers the dark areas of a historic trial brought by members of indigenous communities against the French group Bolloré.
