From November 7 to 28, the network of media libraries participates in Documentary Film Month to offer the public a unique cinematic exploration.

Screenings and meetings are offered at the media libraries La Gare (Pignan), Albert Camus (Clapiers), Aimé Césaire (Castelnau-le-Lez), Jean Giono (Pérols), Émile Zola, Federico Garcia Lorca, and Victor Hugo (Montpellier).
Through a selection of rare or little-known works, this program aims to awaken the curiosity of viewers, to encourage exchanges with filmmakers, and to raise awareness among young audiences about the richness of this cinematic genre.
This year, it aligns with the national theme of Documentary Film Month, "Against the Current." Through sensitive works, it highlights those who deviate from expected paths and invites questioning of norms and dominant narratives.

4 filmmakers, honored guests of this edition, are expected at this event:
Antoine Page
Filmmaker and independent producer trained at the Sorbonne, Antoine Page is dedicated to creative documentary. Based in the Jura, he founded the Maison du Directeur, an artistic residency space. From Wesh Gros to Toubib, his cinema unfolds over time, closely following those he films.
Giacomo Abbruzzese
An Italian filmmaker trained at Fresnoy, nominated multiple times for the César and awarded at Cinemed, Giacomo Abbruzzese has traveled through Canada, Germany, and the Middle East, working as a photographer, programmer, and assistant. From this journey emerges a body of work inhabited by the figure of the outsider and a taste for epic narratives, at the intersection of documentary and fiction.
Nicolas Réglat
Trained at the Fine Arts and then at the Higher School of Audiovisual in Toulouse (ESAV), Nicolas Réglat develops cinema rooted in questions of memory, political engagement, and transmission. This year, he is the recipient of the Coup de Cœur award from the programmers of Occitanie, in partnership with the Unique Agency Occitanie Culture.
Jean-Jacques Cunnac
Award-winning documentary filmmaker, Jean-Jacques Cunnac has collaborated with several international television channels. Based in the south of France, he teaches cinema there. From Greece to Alabama, his cinema focuses on exploring collective memories and human realities.
