125th Anniversary Celebration of Tibidabo

On October 29, 1901, a unique place was inaugurated at the top of the highest mountain in Barcelona. With the launch of the first funicular in Spain, this site gradually became what we now know as Tibidabo. A leisure space for people of all ages, offering the most spectacular views of the city, the mountain, and the sea. Over these 125 years, people, attractions, and the city itself have changed, but Tibidabo has remained a part of family memories and the collective imagination of Barcelona. Five generations have experienced the Park as children, teenagers, parents, and grandparents, passing this bond to the next generations. The grand celebration of Tibidabo's 125th anniversary will take place next Sunday, October 4th. The festive day will begin with an activity that we have been saving for this occasion. Honoring the Barcelonians who walked to the mountain's summit in the 20th century, we have prepared the 125 Years of Tibidabo Walk. The activity will consist of a walk from Jardinets de Gràcia (central Barcelona) to the Cuca de Llum Funicular station. This activity is organized in collaboration with Barnatresc. The route will continue with the ascent to the summit via the Cuca de Llum Funicular and the grand anniversary celebration, which will take place at the Panoramic Area of Tibidabo starting at 10 AM. Here, visitors will be part of a unique celebration with many activities. We are preparing a large cake, a grand parade, and many more surprises for an unforgettable morning. You can participate in both activities. To do so, simply register using this form in the desired modality: MODALITY 1. POPULAR WALK Check-in at 8:30 AM Start of the event at Jardinets de Gràcia (Barcelona) The Walk will finish at the Tibidabo Funicular Station. From here, you can ride for free and access the Park, where you can continue the 125th anniversary Celebration. MODALITY 2. CELEBRATION AT TIBIDABO Check-in at 10 AM Panoramic Area of Tibidabo Free access to the Cuca de Llum Funicular. Register here and be part of the 125th anniversary. Places for both activities are limited, so registration in the form is required. The amusement park will open at its usual hours and will not be affected by the 125th anniversary celebration.
