Pignan Olive Festival

Exhibitors, activities, music, and delicious treats

The town of Pignan invites you to its traditional olive festival on the first Sunday of October at the Château Park!
This is an opportunity to engage with this characteristic fruit of our Mediterranean region, taste its derived products, and enjoy the activities and expertise of our olive growers who are the pride of our territory and the town of Pignan.

Program

• 10 AM: market opens.

• 10 AM to 12 PM: mini-farm with the Beau Nez d’Âne association.

• 10:45 AM: free children's show "Wind in the Olive Tree" with Mathilde de Lapeyre.

• 11:30 AM: inauguration and induction with the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Olive.

• 2 PM to 5 PM: mini-farm with the Beau Nez d’Âne association.

• 3:30 PM: grafting workshop with Vincent Frasquet.

Artisan market and producers all day

Throughout the day, producers and artisans will offer tastings and activities to showcase the expertise of olive growers.

• Food: tastings of olives, olive oils, dishes featuring olive flavors.

• Crafts: creations of jewelry, candles, and decorative items.

• Activities: tree climbing with the "Voyage au bout de la cime" association, rides.

• Wine: the winemakers from the Les Vignerons du Chevalier Georges cellar in Saint-Georges-d’Orques will be present to accompany your meal.

• Refreshments provided by the El Eco vocal ensemble.

• Musical entertainment by La compagnie du Jazz Montpellier JAMBALAYA.

Guided tours to discover Pignan

Guided tours are offered by the Tourist Office to discover Pignan, its medieval heart, its typical Languedocian vineyard architecture, the castle of the Counts of Turenne, and its history.

• From 10:30 AM to 12 PM and from 3 PM to 4:30 PM

• Full price: €12 / Reduced price: €10 / Ages 6-11: €6

• Meet 10 minutes before departure at the entrance of the castle (town hall of Pignan)
